Order your textbooks and course materials by clicking the link below. Orders can be placed starting on the following dates:
- Fall Semester 2026 – August 8, 2026 (online) or Monday, August 10, 2026 (in the Bookstore)
- Spring Semester 2027 – December 26, 2026 (online) or Monday, December 28, 2026 (in the Bookstore)
You can have your order shipped for a fee via UPS, or you can pick it up at the Bookstore at either campus.
Financial Aid charging for Fall Semester 2026 runs from August 8-28, 2026. Last day to return books bought in error or for dropped classes is August 28, 2026.
Financial Aid charging for Spring Semester 2027 runs from December 26, 2026-January 15, 2027. Last day to return books bought in error or for dropped classes is January 15, 2027.

Bookstore hours for 2026-2027 school year are as follows:
- Willmar Campus: Monday – Friday from 7:45 am – 3:30 pm
- Hutchinson Campus: Monday – Friday from 7:45 am – 3:30 pm
Book Charging
All students who have met one of the tuition and fee payment requirements and are registered for at least one Ridgewater credit may charge their books at the on-campus bookstore on either campus or online.
Financial aid pending or no financial aid awarded
Section titled “Financial aid pending or no financial aid awarded”- Book charging starts each semester approximately two weeks before classes start and will end on the fifth day of the semester.
- Students may charge up to $1,000 for required books and classroom kits. If you have any questions about specific supplies, please talk to the bookstore.
- Students may use up to $50 of the $1,000 to purchase a backpack or school supplies.
- The cost of the items charged will be added to your Ridgewater student account and must be paid either by financial aid funds or personal resources according to normal Business Services Office payment deadlines.
Financial aid awarded
- Book charging starts each semester approximately two weeks before classes start and will end on the fifth day of the semester.
- Students may use their financial aid overage (total award – tuition cost = financial aid overage) to charge required books and classroom kits. If you have any questions about specific supplies, please talk to the bookstore.
- Students may use up to $50 to purchase a backpack or school supplies.
- Students who have less than $1,000 of financial aid overage may charge up to $1,000.
- The cost of the items charged will be added to your Ridgewater student account and must be paid either by financial aid funds or personal resources according to normal Business Services Office payment deadlines.
